Why Study Early Childhood Education? Click here to learn more.

The Early Childhood Studies degree is designed for individuals who wish to work directly with, or on behalf of, young children in a variety of settings including: health settings, childcare settings, faith-based settings, libraries, parent support or education programs and many others.

An AAS in Early Childhood Studies may be an appropriate option for individuals pursuing a career in early childhood or a related field, such as social work or child and family studies. The AAS Early Childhood Studies degree does not supply the AGEC requirements for university transfer, but does support the pursuit of a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree. See the program advisor to design an educational pathway that meets your needs if you wish to pursue a BAS degree.
